Mr. Danny Boulieris

Welcome to Sandy Lane Elementary School, Conservatory for the Arts!

I am so excited to serve as the principal of our A-rated school, where students achieve academically and grow creatively. With over twelve years of experience as an administrator, including time as a middle school principal, I am passionate about creating a school where every child feels supported, challenged, and inspired to do their best every day.

At Sandy Lane, I work alongside a dedicated and highly qualified staff who believe in holding students to high expectations while supporting them every step of the way. Literacy is the key to long-term success in school, so we are committed to helping every child become a confident reader. This year, we are also focusing on strengthening writing across all grade levels, because writing not only improves thinking but also helps students understand every subject more deeply. In math, our goal is to build strong foundational skills, so students are ready to tackle more advanced concepts with confidence.

One of the special things about Sandy Lane is how we bring the arts into everyday learning. Our visual and performing arts teachers partner with classroom teachers to create lessons that make learning exciting, which in turn creates a deeper conceptual understanding of the content. In addition, intermediate students take part in focus groups each week. These small, interest-based groups give them personalized opportunities to explore and grow their performing or visual arts skills. Students who are involved in the arts in school build confidence, creativity, and learn how to work well with others. These are skills that serve students far beyond the stage or classroom. 

I am proud to be part of this amazing community, and I look forward to partnering with you to help every child develop a love of learning and the skills they need to follow their dreams.
